The Thompson Center and UW-Green Bay partnered to welcome award-winning author Doris Kearns Goodwin to Green Bay. Goodwin is a Pulitzer-prize winning author, biographer, presidential historian and former assistant to Lyndon Johnson. Her seventh and New York Times bestselling book, Leadership in Turbulent Times, was published in September 2018 to critical acclaim and became an instant New York Times bestseller. It is a culmination of Goodwin’s five-decade career of studying the American presidents focusing on Presidents Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin Roosevelt and Lyndon Baines Johnson.
