A Seat at the Table: Women in Leadership & Civic Engagement

The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and the Thompson Center on Public Leadership welcomed Donna Brazile and Kelly Ayotte for a lively and thoughtful discussion on women in leadership and politics. Over 150 students, faculty, and members of the public attended. The Thompson Center would like to thank the University of Milwaukee for their assistance in putting this excellent event together.

Donna Brazile is a renowned political strategist, the former interim Chair of the Democratic National Committee, esteemed author, lecturer, and the proud recipient of ten honorary doctorate degrees. Kelly Ayotte, former U.S. Senator and former Attorney General, is noted for her leading role in passing the Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act (CARA), while working to pass legislation to provide more resources for service men and women.

This event was cosponsored by UW-Milwaukee Union Student Involvement, Student Involvement Leadership Programs, the Department of Political Science, and the Division of Global Inclusion and Engagement.
