This event was held on October 25th from 3:00-4:30 pm at the UW-Madison Education Building.
The Tommy G. Thompson Center is partnered with the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget (CRFB) to put on an exciting, fun, and free public event! An honored speaker from the CRFB will briefly discuss the national debt, before asking the audience to create a sustainable solution.
Working together with a round table of fellow attendees determined what policies and financial decisions are made by our federal government. Spending decisions included ending US involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan. Raising or cutting income taxes, changing spending on American schools, healthcare, research, the environment, foreign aid, and more.
