Leadership & Resilience in Times of Public Emergency

The UW-Whitewater Community Engagement Center, UW-Oshkosh American Democracy Project, and the Thompson Center presented a webinar on leadership and resilience in times of public emergency. COVID-19 has caused substantial disruptions to the American economy, institutions, and American life as we know it. This webinar explored the centrality of leadership, and especially presidential leadership, in times of public emergency. Dr. Tevi Troy is a former Deputy Secretary of Health and Human Services and author of Shall We Wake the President? Two Centuries of Disaster Management from the Oval Office. Ryan Holiday is a #1 New York Times bestselling author and known for Obstacle is the Way and Ego is the Enemy. Moderator Dr. David Siemers is a Professor of Political Science at UW-Oshkosh and author of Presidents and Political Thought.
