Wisconsin Biohealth Summit 2020

The Thompson Center was pleased to cosponsor the Wisconsin Biohealth Summit 2020. September 23’s all day events focused on the challenges of COVID-19 and how Wisconsin is adapting through collaborations and the public response. Speakers included Mondira Saha-Muldowney of the UW-Madison Institute for Clinical & Translational Research, UW-Madison Professor of Medicine Jane Mahoney, UW School of Medicine & Public Health Emeritus Professor Rock Mackie, CEO Nicolas Paris of Gilson, Director Lennon Rodgers of Grainger Engineering Design Innovation Lab, and Dean of Batterman School of Business and Professor of Pharmaceutical Science at Concordia University Daniel Sem. Dr. Michael T. Osterholm provided the keynote address entitled “How COVID-19 Will Change the World.”  Dr. Osterholm is the Regents Professor, McKnight Endowed Chair in Public Health, the Director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research & Policy, among other appointments, at the University of Minnesota. Co-sponsors included Bioforward, the UW-Madison Institute for Clinical & Translational Research, and the UW-Madison School of Medicine & Public Health.  The conference continued on September 30 and October 7.
